Jennings Park Demonstration Garden

Address: 6915 Armar Rd, Marysville  98270

Since 1983 Jennings Park has been home to the Master Gardeners.  One acre of the park dedicated to our Demonstration Gardens.   There are many themed gardens, including the award winning All-American Selections Garden, English Cottage Garden and the Meditation Garden to name a few.  Each garden has its own charm capturing visitor’s attention, inspiring ideas to implement in their home garden. The vegetable gardens are a place where visitors can learn techniques to grow home produce and admire the well thought out plantings. Since 2015 the Jennings’s vegetable garden has donated, on average, 3,600 pounds of produce/year to local food banks.

Starting TBD, 2025: Join us on Mondays at 11:00 am for our ‘Live in the Garden’ talks on a variety of interesting gardening topics.

Evergreen Arboretum Demonstration Garden

Address: 145 Alverson Blvd, Everett WA

Located at the entrance to the Evergreen Arboretum, this 200-foot mixed perennial border display garden was originally designed and built by Master Gardeners in 1992. The purpose of this demonstration garden is to provide public education for home gardeners about good perennial gardening practices, garden design, plant selection and management, and the many benefits of maintaining a perennial garden. It is well known around Puget Sound for both its educational value and its beauty as a display garden.
Master Gardener volunteer work parties are on Wednesdays, 9 am to noon (March – October). During this time, MGs are available to answer gardening questions. The plants in the demonstration garden are the subject of a free, new educational series, “The Perennial Path”.
